Mobile Parking Without a Convenience Fee – Another Step Forward in Digitalisation
As of 16 March 2026, the convenience fee for mobile parking payments will be abolished, allowing customers to manage their parking even more easily and under more favourable conditions via their mobile phones.
This change brings tangible relief to everyday mobility and further strengthens the role of digital solutions in Hungarian public services.
Legal background
The 100% state-owned National Mobile Payment Plc. was established in 2014 to provide digital cashless services under the terms and conditions set out in the 2011 CC Act on National Mobile Payments and the implementing Government Decree 356/2012 (XII.13.).
