E-vignette
An e-vignette providing road use entitlement is valid for Hungary’s expressways and can be purchased also with mobile payment.
The e-vignette is valid on Hungary's motorways and can also be purchased with a mobile payment.
The toll roads in Hungary can only be used with a pre-purchased toll entitlement, i.e. an e-vignette. The information needed to determine the appropriate toll category (maximum permissible weight, type of vehicle) is available in the vehicle registration document.
The sections of the national road network that can be used against payment of a toll are defined in the current ITM Decree 45/2020 (28.XI.) on motorways, motorways, main roads and their tolls.
The unified electronic sales platform is operated by the Hungarian state-owned enterprise National Mobile Payment Plc. on the basis of legal designation. The following partners are authorized to provide the Hungarian e-vignette service by the National Mobile Payment Plc.
